I capture Mumbai from above, focusing on the shifting moods of the city as the light transitions from clear day to deep dusk.

A bird flies directly into the setting sun, creating a powerful silhouette against the warm, hazy sky over Mumbai.

Birds flying through a spectacular pastel-colored sunset over the Mumbai skyline, with sun rays breaking through the clouds.

A perfect sunset captured on a phone, showing vibrant purple and orange hues filling the sky between Mumbai's buildings.

A closer view of the same perfect sunset, focusing on the silhouette of the iconic Imperial Towers against the fiery sky.

A timelapse video showing the sky over Mumbai bursting into brilliant red and orange colors during a stunning sunrise.

An early morning drone shot capturing the sunrise over Mumbai, with the Bandra-Worli Sea Link visible in the distance.

A brighter view of the sunrise, showing the sun higher in the sky, reflecting off the sea by the coastal road.

The city awakens under a soft purple and pink sky just before sunrise, with the lights of the buildings still twinkling.

The sun setting between buildings in a composition that frames the urban architecture against a fiery orange sky.

The sun peeks from behind clouds and a skyscraper under construction, creating a dramatic silhouette effect during sunset.

About Mumbai Skylines: Day & Dusk

Drone photography in this city is less about the altitude and more about managing the atmospheric haze. I plan my flights to hit the transition window, specifically the 20 minutes before the light fully fades. I use custom color grading for every frame to balance the harshness of the urban structures against the softening colors of the sky.

Capturing a skyline effectively requires more than just getting the drone in the air. The biggest variable I deal with in Mumbai is the environment. I perform virtual scouting before every flight to verify airspace safety and flight restrictions, ensuring we get the angles you need without complications.

When I shoot, I look for the interplay between architectural geometry and the available light. Whether it is the clear, sharp light of midday hitting the skyscrapers in Lower Parel or the softer, warmer glow across the Bandra-Worli Sea Link during blue hour, the goal is to show the city as it breathes.

My post-production process is focused on technical correction. I work on reducing city haze and refining the color balance so the image reflects what you see in the moment. For video projects, I prioritize stable hyperlapses that document the passage of time. If you have a specific building or location you want to highlight, I am happy to discuss the best time of day to shoot based on current sun positioning.

I'm a Mumbai-based photographer dedicated to catching the city from the air. I don't just click and walk away; I spend time waiting for that specific light that makes a concrete skyline look alive. When I'm not behind the drone controller, I'm usually planning flight paths to get a better angle on the coastline.
