I use drones to capture Mumbai not as a map, but as a living, breathing rhythm of lights and movement.

A dizzying top-down aerial view of Mumbai's skyscrapers at night. This "City Maximum" shot, taken with a DJI drone, turns the urban landscape into a futuristic, abstract pattern of light.

An incredible 360-degree aerial panorama of the city at night. The purple and orange lights create a cyberpunk aesthetic, showcasing the megastructure of Mumbai in a surreal way.

Another perspective from my aerial shoot, looking straight down at the uniquely shaped skyscrapers. The drone allows for compositions that defy gravity and offer a fresh look at architecture.

A closer aerial shot of the Lodha Park towers. This perspective highlights the curves and lines of modern architecture, lit up against the night sky.

A moving frame from a drone, looking down at the train tracks running through the city towards the sea. It shows the scale of Mumbai's infrastructure and its coastal setting.

This warped aerial perspective gives a sense of falling into the city's glowing grid. It's an experimental drone shot that plays with perception and scale.

A dramatic aerial view looking down the canyons between Mumbai's skyscrapers at night. The drone captures the verticality and density of the city.

About The City from Above

When I take the drone up, it’s not just about the height. I look for the symmetry in Mumbai's chaos—the way the street lights trace the city's veins at night. If you’re planning a shoot, remember that wind speeds and local air traffic clearance are part of the process, especially near the coastline. I handle the logistics, so we just focus on finding that perfect, cinematic angle.

Finding the Pattern in the Chaos

Seeing Mumbai from the sky changes your perspective on the city. Down there, it’s traffic and noise; up here, it’s a living, breathing grid of light and movement. I use drone photography to strip away the noise and find the patterns that define this place.

Why Aerial Content Works

When you add an aerial view to a brand story or event coverage, you give the viewer a sense of scale that a handheld camera simply cannot capture. Whether it’s the sweeping curve of the coastline or the dense, neon-lit clusters of modern skyscrapers, drone shots establish a location instantly.

How I Approach the Skies

  • Light Tracking: I prefer shooting during the Golden Hour or deep into the night. That’s when Mumbai’s street lights create those golden veins, and the skyline begins to glow against the dark Arabian Sea.
  • The Gear: I shoot with DJI equipment, which gives us that stable, cinematic quality whether we are doing slow, sweeping pans or dynamic fly-throughs.
  • Logistics & Safety: Shooting in a dense city like Mumbai requires planning. I manage the flight paths and handle local safety checks so we don't run into issues on the day of the shoot.

If you are looking for that 'City Maximum' vibe—where the buildings feel like characters in your story—let’s talk. I don’t do generic wide shots; I look for the geometry and the light that make your project feel like it actually belongs in this city.

Hey, I’m Shivam. I started flying drones to catch the rhythm of Mumbai that you miss from the ground. I’m not chasing structured, perfect shots; I’m looking for the way the city breathes, the light, and the unexpected geometry of our streets.
