Coastal Escapes: Drone and Beach Photography
Beyond the urban chaos, I photograph the patterns of the tides. Whether I am at a quiet beach in Alibag or the shores of Goa, I combine aerial drone perspectives with ground-level shots to capture the ocean’s true mood.
A top-down drone photograph of gentle waves washing over a sandy shore, creating a beautiful, abstract pattern.
Another top-down aerial view of the waves in Goa, capturing the contrast between the turquoise water and the golden sand.
A drone video capturing the motion of waves along a long stretch of beach in Goa, showing the coastline from an aerial perspective.
An aerial video following a jet ski as it cuts through the water, leaving a trail that is slowly erased by the waves.
A horse-drawn carriage travels along a wet beach at sunset in Alibag, its reflection captured perfectly on the sand.
A wider shot of the horse-drawn carriage at sunset in Alibag, creating a classic and timeless beach scene.
A peaceful drone video capturing the sunset over the calm sea at a beach in Alibag, conveying a sense of tranquility.
The setting sun reflects on the water like a lightsaber, with perfectly formed waves creating lines on the sea at Alibag.
The sun, partially obscured during a solar eclipse, resembles Pac-Man over the sea at sunset.
The wet sand on a Mumbai beach reflects the pink and purple hues of the sunset sky, creating a beautiful mirror effect.
About Coastal Escapes: Beaches & Seascapes
I use drone angles to find patterns in the sand and tide that you cannot see from the shore. My coastal work balances these wide, abstract aerial perspectives with intimate ground-level shots, usually timed for the soft light of the blue hour to bring out the water's natural textures.
Coastal photography is about more than just a wide-angle view of the water. When I am on location, I prioritize the transition from day to evening. I find that the light during the blue hour—the period just after sunset—gives the water a soft, painterly quality that direct afternoon sunlight often washes out.
My process relies on two distinct viewpoints. First, the aerial perspective using my drone. This is where I look for the geometry of the coastline, the way waves interact with the sand, and the shapes created by receding tides. I look for what I call 'organized chaos' in the water’s movement. Second, I step down to the ground. This is where I capture the finer details: the reflection of the sky on wet sand, the movement of people on the beach, and the specific silhouettes that define a place like Alibag or Goa.
I handle the full scope of location photography. If you are looking to document a coastal property, a travel project, or simply want high-quality seascapes, I manage the planning, drone flight, and the final color grading. I often work with natural light to keep the atmosphere authentic, ensuring the images tell the story of the coast rather than looking overly staged. Whether you need a short cinematic reel or a series of high-resolution stills, I tailor the shoot to the specific vibe of the location.
