Coastal Escapes: Cinematic Beach Photography & Travel Films
I don't just take photos at the beach; I capture the feeling of the waves and that laid-back travel vibe. Whether it's a quiet morning in Goa or a sunset shoot in Bhuigaon, let's bottle up those memories for you. 🌊
Capturing a moment of pure bliss during the golden hour on a Goa beach. My portrait sessions are all about natural light and authentic expressions, creating timeless travel photos.
The start of a beautiful series capturing a quiet moment on the shore. I often shoot in sequences to tell a small story, like the feeling of the waves washing over your feet.
A candid shot from the same beach session in Goa. This photo captures a moment of peaceful reflection against the backdrop of palm trees and the open sea.
The joyful conclusion to the series, capturing a spontaneous splash and a smile. It’s these unposed, happy moments that truly define a beach getaway.
This portrait film was a test for my new gimbal, shot on Bhuigaon beach near Mumbai. It showcases my ability to create smooth, flowing video sequences that give a cinematic feel to a simple walk on the beach.
About this collection
When I shoot coastal escapes, I prefer sticking to natural light and 'run-and-gun' documentary styles. This means we aren't spending hours setting up lights on the sand; instead, I use my gimbal and mirrorless gear to move with you as you explore, ensuring we catch those spontaneous, candid moments without the staged stiffness.
Why a Cinematic Travel Film?
Most people come back from a beach trip with a thousand photos that just sit on a hard drive. I want to change that. Whether we are shooting in Goa or a hidden spot near Mumbai, my goal is to give you a 4K 10-bit film that actually tells the story of your trip. I use the Sony A7S3 for high dynamic range, which means even in harsh noon sun or sunset golden hour, the colors remain rich and skin tones stay natural.
The 'Run-and-Gun' Approach
I’m not a fan of telling you to 'stand here and look at the camera' for twenty minutes. My Coastal Escape sessions are designed to be fluid. I use a DJI RS3 gimbal to get those buttery smooth walking shots, or sometimes just a handheld rig if the scene calls for something grittier and more raw. You enjoy the bhurji pav or the dip in the ocean, and I stay in the background to capture the real stuff.
What to Expect
- Documentation: I focus on the 'mini-movie' feel, syncing shots to the right audio to create a genuine atmosphere rather than a generic montage.
- Versatility: From cinematic 4K destination films to quick, vertical reels for your social media, I adapt the gear to fit the location.
- Logistics: I am based in Mumbai, but I travel across India for projects. If you have a specific destination in mind—from the shores of Goa to the hidden beaches of the Konkan coast—let's make it happen.

Rahul
I’m Rahul, and I’m happiest when I’m chasing sunlight with a camera in hand. I don’t do posed, stiff shoots; I’d rather catch you laughing at a joke or running into the ocean, all while making sure the film looks cinematic enough to be a movie.
