Cinematic Jewelry Films that Tell Your Brand Story
I do not just film jewelry; I capture the emotion and narrative behind every piece. Whether for family legacies or modern, vibrant campaigns, I focus on making each film feel raw, honest, and undeniably elegant.
This film for PMJ Jewels features the genuine connection between father and daughter, Mahesh Babu and Sitara. We aimed for an elegant and heartfelt tone, showing how jewelry marks moments of love and celebration across generations.
Working with Rakul Preet for Mia by Tanishq was all about capturing her infectious energy. The film is bright, playful, and modern, designed to show how fine jewelry can be a part of a woman's everyday expression of style.
For the exclusive jeweler Karshev, we created an atmospheric black and white film. The concept was to portray the jewelry as a second skin, using intimate close-ups and fluid motion to create a sense of mystery and luxury.
About Luxury & Lifestyle Jewelry
Jewelry tells a story, and the way we film it matters. Whether it is a heartfelt generational legacy like PMJ Jewels or a vibrant campaign, my process starts by finding the intimacy in the piece. I focus on lighting that creates texture and depth, ensuring the jewelry feels like a second skin, not just an accessory.
When I approach a jewelry film, I am looking for the human connection. It is not enough to show the facets of a diamond or the shine of gold; the viewer needs to feel the weight of the moment it represents. My work with brands like Karshev and Mia by Tanishq stems from a desire to strip away the noise and focus on the subject.
My Cinematic Process
I build my visual language around lighting. For jewelry, light is the storyteller. I often utilize high-contrast, editorial lighting setups to create a moody, luxurious atmosphere, or bright, rhythmic sequences to match the energy of contemporary fashion. I shoot with cinema-grade gear, but the equipment is just the tool. The real work happens in the development of the mood board and the collaboration with my team. We focus on:
- Emotional Narrative: Understanding the brand ethos before the camera rolls.
- Texture & Detail: Using close-up shots to reveal the craftsmanship.
- Color Grading: Applying a specific DI grade to ensure the jewelry color pops against the background.
Collaboration and Scale
Whether we are in my studio in Lower Parel or out on location, the production is always a collaborative effort. A film is only as good as the team behind it—my stylists, DOPs, and lighting assistants ensure that every frame is intentional. If you have a brand story to tell, I am interested in how we can make it feel raw, cinematic, and timeless.
