Nanhe Kadam: Baby & Childhood Keepsakes
Your baby's first milestones fly by. I help you freeze these precious beginnings—from their first ultrasound to their hospital mementos—into a single, lasting piece of art.
This 11-inch circular frame is a treasure trove of a baby's firsts. It includes the umbilical cord, first ultrasound, silver kadas, rakhi threads, and birth details. It’s a beautiful way to tell the story of your baby's arrival.
I am obsessed with how this baby keepsake frame turned out. It’s a beautiful and comprehensive way to preserve all those precious early memories in one place. This video shows me with the finished 11-inch circular piece.
I was truly honored to be asked to preserve this placenta. It is the organ that connects mother and baby, and preserving it in this 8-inch square block with gold leaf is a powerful tribute to the miracle of life.
A glimpse of two very different but equally sentimental pieces. On the left, a baby's first ultrasound is preserved among pearls and flowers. On the right, a couple's wedding flowers are captured in a block. Every memory is precious.
A closer look at the baby details frame, showing the ultrasound, photo, and all the little mementos that tell the story of baby Ahaan's birth. The light blue theme is perfect for celebrating a baby boy.
My happy smile holding this completed baby keepsake frame. It brings me so much joy to create pieces that I know will be cherished by a family for generations to come.
A peek at the finished baby detail frame. The neon sign of my brand in the background is a reminder that every piece I make is 'all kinda lit' with love and memories.
About this collection
When you send me your baby's items—like their first rakhi, hospital wristband, or ultrasound report—I treat them with the same care as my own. We start by discussing the layout, and because each piece is handmade in my studio, you’ll see those tiny, natural bubbles in the resin that prove your keepsake is uniquely crafted for you, not mass-produced.
How We Turn Memories Into Art
Preserving a child’s early days is less about the item and more about the emotion attached to it. Whether it is a small Chhota Bheem rakhi, a set of silver kadas, or the very first ultrasound scan, each item carries a story. My studio is where these 'Nanhe Kadam' (little steps) find a permanent home.
The Process:
- Initial Chat: You tell me which milestones matter most to you. We talk about the layout and what specific birth details—like date, time, or weight—we need to embed.
- Design & Placement: I lay out your precious mementos. We can go for a structured look or something more organic, depending on what feels right for your home.
- The Pour: Using layers of high-quality resin, I seal everything in. This ensures that bulky items like umbilical cords or heavy keepsakes are perfectly preserved and protected from the elements.
A Note on Handmade Art: Since I craft every piece personally, it won't be identical to a machine-made product. You might see tiny ripples or micro-bubbles near the organic items. To me, that is the beauty of handmade work; it is real, it is imperfect, and it is entirely yours. If you want to include specific charms, gold flakes, or a protective 'evil eye' bead, just let me know before I begin the final pour.

I'm Latika, and my studio is where your baby's earliest memories get a forever home. I don’t just pour resin; I listen to the stories behind your ultrasound photos and first rakhis, making sure they’re placed with as much love as the day you brought your little one home.
