About From the Coach's Playbook
Before every match, I walk you through the formation and show you exactly where to hold the line. If you do not understand your role on the field, you will not play. Here, you learn to be a thinking player, not just one who runs after the ball.
In the modern game, raw athletic ability is not enough. You need vision. In my playbook, understanding game management is non-negotiable. Whether it is a CBSE school tournament or a friendly match in Goa, my players know that being on the field is a privilege earned through disciplined practice and tactical awareness.
We break down the pitch into specific zones. For my defenders, it is about keeping the line tight and communicating under pressure. For the midfielders, it is about transition speed and finding pockets of space. I teach the game so you can read it yourself. We run drills specific to game situations: how to defend a corner, how to break a high press, and how to finish when the game is on the line.
My philosophy is simple: merit rules. If you do not understand the tactical shift when we are trailing, you will not find your name on the team sheet. This is why I hold these strategy sessions.
