Standard Single Category Judge
Scope of Work
- Single Category Evaluation: Complete judging for one specific style (Hip-Hop, Popping, or All-Styles) in 1v1 or 2v2 formats.
- Bracket Management: Judging responsibility extends from preliminary auditions (cypher selection) through to the final round.
- System: Utilizes standard battle judging protocols (hand raise or scorecard) based on technique and originality.
The Skillset
- Musicality Check: Strict evaluation of beat-killing and texture; dancers off-beat are penalized immediately.
- Crowd & Authority: Management of aggressive call-outs and 10-15 minute post-event verbal feedback for finalists.
Logistics
- Location: Valid for events within Delhi NCR (Metro accessible zones).
- Judge Demo: Includes a basic 30-45 second introduction round.
Head Judge & Showcase Package
Scope of Work
- Multi-Category Judging: Evaluation of complex categories like 'Rep Your Style' (mixed genres) or multiple brackets (Crew + Solo).
- Head Judge Duty: Responsibility for resolving ties and setting the event tone.
- Signature Showcase: A fully prepared 1.5 to 2-minute high-energy solo performance to open the finals.
Value Additions
- Marketing Rights: Authorization to use the 'Red Bull Dance Your Style Judge' credential in event marketing.
- Crowd Interaction: Active engagement with the MC to raise event energy levels.
Logistics
- Duration: Covers the full event day from start to finish.
- Travel: For events outside Delhi NCR, travel and accommodation are required separately.
Battle Tactics Workshop Add-On
Curriculum
- Groove Mechanics: Instruction on the 'Monday Groove' concept and foundational body control.
- Musicality: Training on listening to music layers from a DJ's perspective to catch beats opponents miss.
- Battle Psychology: Techniques to overcome overthinking and channel emotion during battles.
Logistics
- Format: Split into 60 minutes of choreography/drills and 30 minutes of Cypher/Practical application.
- Capacity: Suitable for groups of 30 to 50+ students.
- Booking Condition: This rate applies only when booked as an add-on to a judging service.

How I Judge Dance Battles
Dance is therapy for me. When I’m sitting on the judge’s panel, I’m not just seeing clean moves, I’m searching for your story. Main apne saare pain and struggles ko art ke through channel karta hun (I channel my pain and struggles through art), so I really notice dancers who show raw expression and let their reason for dancing come through.
My Experience & What I Focus On
- Years in cyphers and hip-hop battles across North India - I get the street vibe and the foundation.
- Hip-Hop battle judging is my main thing, so I’m tuned into freestyle, musicality, and the culture’s roots.
- I judge All-Style dance battle events too, including tough rounds like dancing on Krump tracks or switching genres.
- I’m also a DJ, and dono cheezein bahut connected hai (both things are very connected) for me. My ear for music structure and rhythm helps me look deeper into musicality in dance competitions.
Advice for Dancers
If I’m on the panel, simple advice: be yourself, stay consistent, and don’t get so lost in the battle that you forget your reason for dancing. Bas yahi mindset hai (this is the mindset) - leave your art on the floor and enjoy the process.

My Story
Hey, I'm Rahul, most folks call me Invoker. Dance is my therapy, my way to fight old memories and all that overthinking. After my patella surgery, making it to the semi-finals in a big international battle was wild - felt like I beat all odds. 'Sab khilaf hai Madhav.. Sab harenge Parth!!' (Everyone is against me, Madhav.. They will all lose, Parth!!). Now I DJ too. Digging for tracks and spinning music just clicked for me. I like being the plot twist, not the usual story.
