Building for the Long Term

Bamboo is 'Green Gold' when treated correctly. For my habitable eco-cottages, I use a sandwich wall system with an insulation core, finished with bamboo ply or gypsum on the interior. This makes them fully weather-proof and comfortable in any season. Every structure, whether it is a small terrace pergola or a three-story building, gets triple-layer weather roofing with 1.5 to 2-foot overhangs. This specific design choice ensures rain slant does not enter your living space.

• For Balconies & Terraces: I focus on efficient space usage. This includes artificial grass, wooden deck tiles on a raised sub-grid to manage moisture, and custom planters that turn a concrete slab into a garden.
• For Cottages & Gazebos: I use heavy-duty load-bearing post and beam structures. I also install concealed wiring within the hollow bamboo poles, so you have fans and lights without unsightly cables running across your beautiful natural ceiling.
