This is my sketchbook where ideas take shape. It is where I experiment with new calligraphy styles, watercolors, and gold foil before they reach your commissioned pieces.

A reminder to practice gratitude. I lettered this quote on a torn piece of black paper and surrounded it with floral doodles, reflecting on how far I've come and what I have to be thankful for.

Some mid-week motivation to "Grow Through What You Go Through." I created this piece using brush pens to make a faux watercolor background, then layered it with bouncy, modern lettering.

A piece reflecting on how joy and grief can exist at the same time. I used a simple checkerboard pattern with grey and shimmering gold watercolor to represent these coexisting emotions.

"One word from you and millions of butterflies grow wings inside my heart." I used a wet-on-wet watercolor technique to create a dreamy, abstract background of butterflies for this romantic quote.

A gentle reminder that we are all just figuring things out. I used a simple brush pen for the calligraphy and added some floral doodles with colored pencils for a soft, encouraging feel.

"I was waiting for my strength to arrive forgetting the fact that I had a lot of it within me." I lettered this powerful quote from a fellow artist and added some abstract watercolor shapes with gold outlines.

"Let the rain soften you, you will bloom again." A beautiful quote paired with a soft pink watercolor wash and shimmering gold calligraphy. It’s a message of hope and resilience.

Based on a true incident. After just three days of work, I was already dreaming of a long weekend. I inaugurated my new journal with this relatable feeling, using fun, bouncy lettering.

I was so mesmerized by this golden ink on a soft blue watercolor wash that I made a spelling mistake. But art is about progress, not perfection, and I still love how this combination turned out.

An illuminated letter 'G' for 'Gratitude'. I filled the letter with intricate golden doodles and surrounded it with delicate vines, just playing with patterns and shimmer.

About From My Art Journal

You will notice a lot of gold foil and watercolor washes in these pages. These are not just doodles; they are my testing ground for textures and inks. When I experiment with a new technique like copperplate script or wet-on-wet watercolor here, I am learning exactly how it reacts to different paper surfaces and lighting, which allows me to offer you a more durable and beautiful result for your own commissioned projects.
