Bollywood Meets Basketball: Our 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Experience

When the cameras rolled, we didn't want any 'filmy' basketball. My team and I worked directly with the production crew to ensure every dribble, pass, and team huddle looked authentic. Watching Aamir Khan sweat it out on the court with my students—learning the plays and getting the mechanics right—proved that even the biggest stars respect the grind. This experience showed my athletes that with the right discipline, their sport can take them anywhere.

Working on Sitaare Zameen Par was more than just a cameo appearance; it was a testament to the consistency we drill into every athlete at IB Sports Academy. When I got the call to consult on the basketball scenes, my only requirement was that we show real basketball.

Standing on set, I realized that Aamir Khan approaches his craft exactly like a top-tier basketball player approaches the court—with extreme focus, endless repetition, and a hunger to learn.
