Documenting the spiritual rhythm of India's most holy rivers, from the evening fires of Rishikesh to the dawn prayers in Varanasi.

An aerial view of the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Kashi. This drone footage shows why the city is called 'the shining one', as thousands of lamps light up the night, creating a bridge between the mortal and the eternal.

This is my best Ganga Aarti video to date, filmed in Rishikesh. I focused on capturing the sacred flames and the devotion in the eyes of the people, aiming to create a video that calms the mind and elevates the spirit.

A lone devotee offers prayers in the holy Ganga at dusk, with the ancient city of Varanasi glowing in the background. This shot captures a moment of pure, solitary faith against a timeless backdrop.

Priests perform the synchronized Ganga Aarti ritual in Rishikesh. The fire, the smoke, and the coordinated movements create a powerful spectacle of devotion against the dark night.

A powerful shot from behind the priests during the Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh. The towering flames from the multi-tiered lamps create a mesmerizing and intense visual, symbolizing the offering of light to the divine.

A stunning aerial view of Haridwar, showing the turquoise Ganga flowing under the bridges. This drone shot captures the scale and beauty of this important Hindu pilgrimage site.

A cinematic journey through Banaras, set to the timeless Gayatri Mantra. This reel captures the spiritual essence of the city, from close-ups of devotees to the waving saffron flags, all telling a story of light and wisdom.

About this collection

I don't just point a camera at the ghats; I wait for the rhythm of the ritual to show itself. Whether it is using my drone to frame the Ganga Aarti from above or finding a quiet, respectful angle at the Manikarnika Ghat for portraits, my goal is to document faith, not just events. You won't find me being intrusive; I blend into the crowd to get the shot that feels real.

The energy on the banks of the Ganga is something you have to feel to believe. When I’m shooting in places like Kashi or Rishikesh, the equipment matters less than the approach. I use my Sony ZV-E1 for its low-light capability, which is essential for those evening aarti shots where the only light comes from the flickering flames, and my DJI drone to show the scale of these ancient cities from the sky.

My process is simple: I arrive early, observe the flow, and wait for the light to settle. I have spent enough time in Banaras and the mountains to know that the best moments happen in the quiet gaps between the main rituals. If you’re looking for someone to capture a pilgrimage, a documentary project, or just a soulful series of images from these sacred spaces, I’m here to document it with the respect it deserves.

I offer full-day coverage packages that include everything from sunrise rituals to night ceremonies. Whether we need 4K cinematic video with sound design or a set of high-resolution stills that capture the stillness of the river, I adapt to what the moment needs. If you’re planning a visit or a spiritual journey, let's talk about how to document it without disrupting the sanctity of the place.

I'm Bean Singh. I learned photography on the ghats of Varanasi and the lanes of Delhi, not in a classroom. I focus on capturing the raw, unfiltered spirit of India’s most sacred places with respect and patience.
