Capturing the divine chaos, the Dhunuchi dance, and the heartfelt faith at Delhi's most iconic Durga Puja pandals.

A full view of the Durga Puja pandal at Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi. This shot captures the main idol of Maa Durga along with other deities, showcasing the complete, grand tableau of the celebration.

A behind-the-scenes look at how I capture the powerful details of a Maa Durga idol. This reel shows the final cinematic shots, including a close-up of Mahishasur, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

About this collection

I don't just stand back with a tripod. In crowded spaces like CR Park, I move with the rhythm of the crowd to capture raw, candid moments of the Dhunuchi dance and the quiet intensity of the prayers. I use a lightweight Sony ZV-E1 setup so I can switch quickly between wide cinematic reels and intimate portraits without disrupting the flow of the ceremony.

Documenting the Divine

Durga Puja is more than just a festival to me—it is a story of faith, community, and power. Whether it is the grand idol at Chittaranjan Park or the smaller, intimate pandals in Indirapuram, I focus on capturing the energy that brings the goddess home.

How I Work

I keep my gear minimal. You will not see me setting up heavy lights that ruin the atmosphere. Instead, I use natural light combined with a Sony ZV-E1 to catch the warm glow of the diyas and the sharp, fleeting expressions of the devotees.

  • Cinematic Reels: I create vertical, 9:16 reels that use speed ramps and ambient audio, designed to be shared immediately on social media.
  • Portraiture: Beyond the idol, I look for the connection between the devotee and the divine. These are the moments that hold the real emotion of the festival.
  • Drone Shots: For major pandals with enough space, I use my DJI Mini 3 Pro to show the sheer scale of the celebration from above, offering a perspective that changes how you see the event.

Why Choose Me?

I believe in storytelling over just taking pictures. I spend time watching the rituals, understanding the flow of the Puja, and waiting for the right shot. If you want someone who treats your festival coverage with the same devotion you have, let’s talk. My goal is to deliver visuals that make you feel like you are right back in the middle of the crowd, hearing the dhak drums and smelling the incense.

I’m Bean Singh. I’ve spent years wandering the lanes of Delhi, and I find the most beautiful stories in the middle of a festival crowd. I don't just capture photos; I capture the feeling of the prayer.
