About Fun for All Ages: Kids & Adults
We keep our batches small, usually 4 to 8 students, so you get actual attention from the instructor instead of just following along from the back. Whether you want to try Bollywood grooves or learn hip hop fundamentals, our studio in Whitefield is a judgment-free zone where you can just show up and dance.
A Different Kind of Dance Class
At Hum & Strum, we believe dancing should be about finding your groove, not about who is the fastest or the best. We offer a mix of Bollywood, hip hop, and contemporary styles, making it perfect for both absolute beginners and those who have some experience. Our goal is to create a space where you can let go, have fun, and move with confidence. Masti toh pakka hai (fun is guaranteed here).
How Classes Work
We split our students into separate batches based on age, ensuring everyone feels comfortable with their peers. If you are a parent, you can even join a class at the same time as your child. We operate with 60-minute sessions held on weekday evenings or weekend mornings to fit your busy schedule. Our studio is equipped with impact-absorbing wooden flooring to protect your joints, and we use full-length mirrors so you can easily correct your form.
Performing with Confidence
We do not believe in keeping your talent hidden in the studio. While classes are for learning, we love to perform. We host smaller indoor gigs throughout the year and a big annual concert called 'Cacophony'. Whether it is your first time on stage or you are a regular performer, we encourage everyone to join in. If you are nervous about the stage, do not worry—most of us were nervous when we started too.
Practical Details
- Trial: We offer a free trial class so you can test the vibe before committing.
- Makeup Policy: Life happens, so we allow 1 to 2 makeup credits per month if you let us know 24 hours in advance.
- Curriculum: Depending on your batch, you will work on choreography retention, stage expressions, and specific footwork.
