About Behind the Music: Rehearsals & Practice
When you walk into our Whitefield studio, it is rarely just about learning a solo. You will see our students syncing up, learning how to listen to their bandmates, and getting over that stage fright before our big annual 'Cacophony' concert. It gets loud, a bit chaotic, but that is where the real music happens.
Practice at Hum & Strum is not about sitting in a quiet room with a metronome. It is about the noise, the mistakes, the laughing, and finally getting that chord progression right. Whether you are prepping for RSL Rockschool London exams or just want to jam with a band, our studio is built for that real-world experience.
We focus heavily on 'Music Room Sessions' because performing is a skill all on its own. You might be great at playing in your bedroom, but playing with a drummer and a vocalist is a whole different game. We help you find your groove, learn how to keep time in a group, and gain the confidence to stand on stage.
Our Whitefield space is set up to foster this. We keep the batches small so you get actual attention from the instructors, not just a lecture. If you are preparing for Trinity or Rockschool exams, we have the syllabus covered. If you just want to play your favourite songs, we help you with that too. We want you to walk in as a student and leave as a performer. Masti toh pakka hai, and we promise you will have a great time doing it.
