Western Ghats Summit Trek (Homestay)
Transport & Logistics
- Bangalore to Base: Round trip in Non-AC Tempo Traveller (12-seater) or Mini-Bus.
- Summit Transfer: 4x4 Jeep hire included for movement between homestay and trek starting points.
- Permits: Forest Department entry fees and trekking permits pre-booked by the club.
Accommodation
- Type: Homestay or Nature Camp (tiled roof structures, not tents).
- Setup: Dormitory halls or 3-5 sharing rooms with gender-segregated sleeping.
- Facilities: Floor mattresses/bunk beds, common washrooms with restricted hot water timings.
Meals & Support
- Food: 2 Breakfasts, 1 Packed Lunch (Rice bath/Roti), 1 Dinner (Veg/Non-Veg Buffet).
- Crew: 1-2 Trek Leads (Ratio ~1:12) with basic First Aid kit.
Leisure Camping & Sightseeing (Tents)
Transport
- Long-Haul: Round trip from Bangalore (800km+) in Tempo Traveller or Push-back Bus.
- Local: Internal transfers to waterfalls, viewpoints, or beach hopping points.
Camping Experience
- Stay: Outdoor Dome Tents (Quechua style) on 2-3 sharing basis.
- Comfort: Sleeping bags or foam mats provided.
- Facilities: Common campsite washrooms (basic hygiene) and changing areas.
- Vibe: Campfire and music evening (subject to weather/police permissions).
Activities & Food
- Itinerary: Sunrise walks (Munnar) or 5-beach trek (Gokarna).
- Meals: 2 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, and 1 Dinner (campfire style).
- Fees: Entry tickets for monuments and tea estates included.
7-Day Maharashtra Expedition (Hotel/Lodge)
Travel & Logistics
- Inter-State: Dedicated vehicle for round-trip transport from Bangalore and daily travel between Lonavala/Pune spots.
- Coverage: Guided logistics for 12+ locations (e.g., Nanemachi, Lohagad Fort).
- Fees: All forest entries, parking, and local guide charges covered.
Stay & Food
- Accommodation: 6 Nights in budget hotels, lodges, or homestays (Triple/Quad sharing).
- Meals: All meals included for 7 days (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - mix of local thalis and travel food).
Adventure Support
- Guide: Full-time Trip Captain accompanying from Bangalore.
- Activities: Seasonal activities like waterfall rappelling where applicable.
About Weekend Treks
What We Offer
I run weekend treks for people who want a quick escape from city life. Starting in Bangalore, we get you out into nature for two packed days, and bring you back Sunday night - so you’re good to go for Monday. I handle all the messy details - transport, stay, food, permits, and trek guides.
How It Works
- Leave Friday night from HSR Layout or other main pickup spots
- Trek, explore, and chill Saturday and Sunday
- Back in Bangalore by Sunday night
Trails We Love
Most of our trips are in the Western Ghats. I mix it up:
- Nethravathi Peak (lush hills, waterfalls)
- Kumaraparvatha (tough climb, epic views)
- Gokarna Beach Trek (hiking by the coast)
- Kudremukha, Tadiandamol, and sometimes sunrise treks in Munnar
You’ll see everything from misty mountains to sandy beaches - depends on your mood and stamina.
Who Joins?
Honestly, it’s a mixed bag. Some folks are first-timers, others are regulars. You just need to be up for some adventure, and ready for a bit of mud and unpredictability. I’ll always tell you if a trek is tough or chill, so you don’t end up on something you’re not ready for.
