About Nethravathi Peak: Our Most Popular Getaway
We don't just drop you at the trailhead; we manage the complete loop from HSR Layout. Expect a mix of forest trails and grassy ridges, with a mandatory dip at Soormane waterfalls to wash off the hike. It is an active weekend with shared homestay accommodation, so come prepared to share space and stories with fellow trekkers.
The Nethravathi Peak trail is our go-to for trekkers who want that quintessential Western Ghats experience. Located near Chikmagalur, this hike takes you through dense forest sections before opening up into the vast, mist-covered grasslands that define the region. We typically organize this as a two-day trip, leaving HSR Layout on Friday night so you can hit the trail Saturday morning.
What makes this trip work is that we sort the logistics. We secure the forest permits, arrange the 4x4 jeep transfers to the base, and book the homestays. You do not need to worry about the permit process or navigation. We also make a point to visit the Samse Ganapati temple and the Soormane waterfalls, which are perfect for cooling off after the climb.
Since we run this as a group trip, expect to be in a shared homestay environment. We provide floor mattresses or bunk beds, and the food is simple, local fare to keep you fueled. It is not a luxury resort stay, but it is comfortable, clean, and exactly what you need after a long day of hiking. If you are a first-timer, this trek is a solid choice because the trail is well-defined, though you should be ready for a bit of mud and rain during the monsoon season.
