About Behind the Art: The Studio & Process
We approach every commission as a conversation, not just a transaction. Whether we are fabricating a statement door or hand-painting a console, our process begins with understanding the story you want your space to tell. My team and I focus on the tactile, layering pigments and manipulating materials until the object becomes a living piece of your home.
Our studio in Bangalore is more than a workspace. It is a chaotic ecosystem of ideas. Here, we refuse the comfort of the standard. If a piece does not challenge us, we have not dug deep enough. We work with everything from high-pigment acrylics for furniture refurbishment to heavy-gauge mild steel for sculptural partitions.
Creating art is rarely a solo act, even if I lead the vision. You will see us wrestling with materials, mixing colors until they hum with the right frequency, and debating the placement of a single line. This collaborative intensity is exactly what lands on your walls or holds your doors together.
We follow a simple rhythm for every project:
- Narrative Consultation: We identify the quirks and metaphors that define you.
- Material Selection: We choose substances, from teakwood to steel, that support the story.
- Fabrication and Finish: Our team handles everything from the initial sanding and priming to the final protective varnish or automotive-grade PU finish.
We do not believe in mass production. We believe in pieces that fight against the mundane. When you invite a House of Berserk installation into your home, you are inviting the story of how it was made, the late nights, the mistakes, and the eventual arrival at something truly honest.

I am Priyanka, and alongside Kai and my dedicated team, I run House of Berserk from our Bangalore studio. We are not interested in typical decor, preferring to build objects that feel alive and undeniably yours.
