Authentic Wedding Ceremony Photography
Your wedding day is a collection of fleeting moments, from nervous anticipation to the final ritual. I don't just photograph the event; I capture the real emotions and the story unfolding between you.
A beautiful, sunlit portrait of the bride and groom, capturing a quiet moment of connection on their wedding day.
The grand bridal entry, a moment filled with anticipation and beauty, as the bride is escorted to the mandap.
The playful and joyous garland exchange, or Varmala ceremony, is always full of laughter and excitement.
A collage of key wedding rituals, from the couple being lifted by family to the tying of the sacred knot.
The emotional and significant moment of the Kanyadaan and tying the Mangalsutra, captured up close.
A collage focusing on the candid smiles and laughter during the Talambralu, or rice pouring ritual.
Capturing the "Moments of a Lifetime", from traditional paintings to the joyous celebrations as the couple is pronounced married.
The Antarpat, the cloth that separates the couple before they first see each other, creates such unforgettable moments.
A collection of candid moments from the wedding ceremony, showing the couple's interactions and the groom's happiness.
An artistic double exposure, blending a portrait of the bride with the silhouette of her groom.
About The Main Event: Wedding Ceremonies
I cover these wedding rituals with a three-person team, which allows us to capture both wide-angle scene shots and close-up candid reactions simultaneously. This setup ensures you don't have to choose between getting a portrait of the couple and catching a reaction shot of your parents, because we have eyes on both. My goal is to keep the flow natural, letting you focus on the ceremony rather than posing for us.
When I am documenting a wedding, my focus is on the 'shaadi ka chakkar'—that full journey of emotions and traditions. Whether it is a traditional South Indian wedding, a Kerala-style ceremony, or a Mantra Mangalya, the core challenge is the same: the most meaningful moments happen in a split second.
I rely on a mix of documentary coverage and gentle direction. During fast-paced rituals like the Varmala or the Talambralu, I keep my distance to let the interactions breathe, capturing the genuine laughter and the way you look at each other. For the formal parts, I step in to ensure the lighting and angles are flattering without making the process feel like a production.
We typically work with a 3-person team for single-day coverage, which includes one candid photographer, one traditional photographer, and a lighting assistant. This team structure is critical because it allows us to handle the complexity of different venues, from indoor temples with limited natural light to grand outdoor setups. I have processed this style over many years of shooting in Bangalore, Mangalore, and across India, and I have found that this balance works best for couples who want high-quality images without feeling like they are constantly on camera.
If you are planning your ceremony, keep in mind that I deliver between 350 to 500 high-resolution images for a single-day event. These are delivered via a cloud gallery within 4 to 6 weeks, ready for you to share or print as you like.
