Heritage and Traditional Wedding Portraits

Your roots tell a beautiful story. I capture that connection with warmth, whether it is a Nischithartha or your wedding day, keeping things candid and real.

A magical and romantic portrait of a couple in traditional wedding attire, surrounded by glowing lights. The word 'Forever' perfectly captures the timeless emotion of this moment.

A beautiful, light-filled photo of a couple during their Nischithartha. Dressed in traditional outfits, they share a happy moment in a bright, airy corridor, marking the 'Beginning of Forever'.

A regal, two-panel image of a couple in a palace. The rich colors of the architecture and their traditional outfits create a stunning, cinematic scene straight out of a historical romance.

A collage of a couple sharing intimate moments on a traditional wooden swing in a heritage home. These photos capture playful and tender interactions in a beautifully rustic setting.

A warm and candid shot of a couple sharing a laugh over coffee in a cozy, book-filled nook of a traditional house. This 'Moment to Cherish' feels authentic and full of personality.

A four-panel collage from a Nischithartha ceremony. It mixes color and black and white shots, capturing both formal portraits and candid moments of the couple in their traditional best.

A black and white collage celebrating a Nischithartha. The top frame focuses on the bride's joyful smile and henna-adorned hand, while the bottom shows a sweet moment between the couple.

About this collection

I do not believe in stiff, formulaic posing for traditional ceremonies. Instead, I focus on the quiet details—the way a saree pleat catches the light, a shared glance during a ritual, or the natural intimacy of a heritage home. I guide you gently so you remain relaxed enough to forget the camera is even there, ensuring the photos feel like an honest reflection of your day.

Traditional weddings are deeply rooted in emotion and ritual. My approach to heritage portraits is to strip away the clutter so your culture and connection take center stage.

Capturing Your Roots

Whether we are shooting a Nischithartha in a traditional Mangalorean home or a larger ceremony in a heritage property, the goal remains the same: authenticity. I look for the fleeting moments that define your day—the joy in your family's eyes, the intricate patterns on your attire, and the quiet pauses between ceremonies.

Why Heritage Locations Matter

I often recommend selecting locations that have history or architectural character. Using an old ancestral home or a temple setting provides a backdrop that complements traditional attire like sarees and kurtas, adding depth to the images that a plain studio background simply cannot replicate. If you have a specific family home or a meaningful venue in mind in Bangalore or Mangalore, I am happy to work around that space.

The Process

My style is unobtrusive. You will see me moving around, using natural light and the architectural framing of the venue to create cinematic, honest images. I mix color portraits with selective black and white shots to highlight the mood. We will spend time discussing your outfits and the flow of your rituals beforehand so that on the day, you can focus on the celebration while I handle the visual storytelling.
