Art is a dialogue, not a solitary act. This collection offers a glimpse into my creative journey, from research pilgrimages at ancient sites to the intimate moments of sharing my work with fellow Rasikas.

This video captures the essence of my production "Un-Eklavya," where my two passions, painting and Bharatanatyam, converge. It shows my artwork displayed at the venue alongside my dance performance, creating a multi-disciplinary experience for the audience.

A glimpse into the "SANGAM" exhibition in Delhi, an event that brought together art, music, and dance. This video shows the gallery space, my framed works on the wall, and moments from the collaborative evening, celebrating the confluence of different art forms.

A personal video from the setup of my painting exhibition at the IGNCA regional center in Baroda. It shows the process of arranging the artworks and preparing the space, offering a candid look at the work that goes into presenting my art to the public.

It is always a joy to connect with those who engage with my art. Here I am with a visitor at my exhibition, discussing the stories and details behind the paintings. These interactions are a vital part of my artistic life.

A deeply personal and poignant moment, this photo shows my late Guru and Mother, Smt. Kamalini Nagarajan Dutt, viewing my work. Her presence and blessings are etched into every piece I create, and her inspiration is eternal.

My art is deeply rooted in research. This photo of the main lingam at the Elephanta Caves was taken during a research trip for my work on Bharatiya Tantra. Studying these ancient sculptures firsthand provides invaluable insight and inspiration.

A sculpture of a Dwarapala (gatekeeper) at the Elephanta Caves. The powerful lines and postures of Chola and Pallava sculptures, like this one, heavily influence the style and form in my paintings and murals.

The magnificent Gangadhara panel at Elephanta, depicting Shiva bearing the descent of the Ganga. Witnessing the narrative power of such ancient masterpieces is a humbling experience that fuels my own storytelling through art.

The entrance to the main cave at Elephanta, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These visits to historical sites are not just trips but pilgrimages that connect me to the lineage of artists and devotees who came before me.

The flickering flame of a temple lamp is a powerful symbol of faith and existence. This video of a traditional Deepastambham reflects my philosophical musings on light, life, and the divine, which often find their way into my art.

About The Artist's World: Exhibitions, Talks & Inspirations

Before any brush touches the canvas, I spend weeks in scriptural study and visits to sites like the Elephanta Caves. My work is not just pigment on paper, but a synthesis of Chola-inspired line work and the lived reality of our ancient narratives that I aim to bring into your home.

My exhibitions, which I often call 'Sangam' or confluence, are where the boundaries between dance, music, and painting dissolve. Whether it is an intimate gallery setup or a large-scale mural, each event is a space for dialogue rather than just a display. I view these exhibitions as an extension of my research, where I share the story behind every piece.

For those interested in acquiring art or inviting me for an art talk, my process is intentionally patient. I believe in Chakshudaan, the ritualistic opening of the eyes, which is a sacred culmination of the artistic process. From archival watercolor paper for miniature devotional pieces to large-scale wall murals that use fresco-style shading, my work is rooted in technical precision. If you are looking to bring a narrative piece into your collection, we begin with a deep conversation about your preferred deity or philosophical theme. My goal is to ensure that the final work resonates with the same energy that I capture during my early morning brahma muhurtam sessions.
