Art Exhibitions, Collaborations, and Cultural Events
My creative journey extends beyond the studio into collaborative exhibitions and lecture-demonstrations where art meets public dialogue. Here, I share the latest updates on upcoming shows, joint projects, and special events across India.
I was honored to have my painting of Andal selected for the cover of "The Champaca Enchantment" by author Lalitha Ram. It is a joy to see my artwork help tell the story of Sri Andal's divine passion in this beautiful picture book.
This poster announced my participation in the "Suvarna Festival 2025" in Kolkata, where I held a two-day painting exhibition alongside other reputed artists. Events like these are wonderful opportunities to share my world of ideation with fellow art lovers.
An announcement for the "SANGAM" exhibition at the India Habitat Centre, a collaborative show where I had the honor of sharing the space with the brilliant artist Rama Sundar Ranganathan.
In this video, I personally invite art lovers in Kolkata to my art talk and exhibition for "Suvarna: The Lines on Gold." I believe in bridging the world of research and practice, and these talks are a way to share the deep concepts behind my work.
This is the poster for my lecture-demonstration "Drishya Adrishya" in Mumbai. In this workshop, I explore the unseen pages of our mythological heritage through both art and dance, helping participants decode the deeper intent within the stories.
An event flyer from a busy monsoon season in Kolkata, featuring my art display as part of the "Suvarna" festival. I frequently travel to share my work through exhibitions and performances.
This promotional video was for my Bharatanatyam production, "The Abandoned Gopi," which was presented as part of the Suvarna festival. My dance productions are deeply intertwined with the themes and aesthetics you see in my paintings.
A video from my performance at the Zapurza Utsav in Pune. This event, "Bharatnatyam with Painting," combined a live dance recital with an exhibition, demonstrating the symbiotic relationship between my two chosen art forms.
About Announcements & Collaborations
My collaborations are rarely just about displaying finished work; they are dialogues between mediums. Whether I am joining a fellow artist at the India Habitat Centre or contributing to a book cover like 'The Champaca Enchantment', I approach every project as an opportunity to bridge ancient iconography with contemporary narratives. If you are looking to host an exhibition or require an art talk that bridges the gap between research and practice, let us connect to discuss the conceptual alignment.
Art for me is not a solitary act. It requires a witness, a Rasika, to complete the circle of expression. My exhibitions, such as 'Sangam' at the India Habitat Centre or the Suvarna Festival in Kolkata, are attempts to ground my research in a public space, allowing the viewer to move beyond the surface of the image.
The Lecture-Demonstration Approach
I often find that audiences yearn for a deeper understanding of the 'why' behind the art. In events like 'Drishya Adrishya' in Mumbai, I move beyond simple performance to decode the mythology embedded in our classical traditions. These sessions are designed as educational experiences where I explore how Chola sculptures and Phad painting techniques inform my dance choreography.
Partnering for Cultural Impact
I selectively collaborate on projects that prioritize depth over aesthetic alone. This includes:
- Art Talks: Deep dives into the intersection of Bharatanatyam, painting, and Indian philosophy.
- Exhibition Residencies: Bringing my mythological canvases to galleries or cultural festivals.
- Conceptual Collaborations: Working with authors, publishers, or cultural institutions on visual narratives—much like my cover work for 'The Champaca Enchantment'.
If you are planning a festival, a private gallery opening, or a university seminar, I am interested in how we might bring these stories to your community.
