Media Features and Artistic Recognition
A collection of editorial coverage and interviews documenting my ongoing journey through Bharatanatyam, research, and Indian mythology.
I woke up to this wonderful surprise. An interview in The New Indian Express and The Morning Standard, which reaffirms my faith in my artistic journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my story.
I was deeply humbled and honored to be featured on the cover of Vrindavan Today. This was captured during a research trip for a festival, a journey that left me overwhelmed with new thoughts and inspirations from the sacred land of Vraj.
About Press & Publications
These features document the moments where my research into Indian mythology and classical dance meets public discourse. Rather than simple reviews, these articles explore the depth of my thematic productions and the philosophy behind my Nrityasewa, offering necessary context to the stories I strive to keep alive on stage.
Media coverage acts as a bridge between the solitary hours of research and the final performance presented before the Rasikas. Being featured in publications like The New Indian Express provided an opportunity to articulate the challenges of balancing a conventional life with the pursuit of the arts. It allowed me to share why I choose to interpret complex mythological narratives, such as Shikhandi or the lesser-known tales from Vraj, rather than sticking to conventional repertoire.
The cover feature in Vrindavan Today was particularly special, as it emerged from my ongoing research into Sringara-Bhakti. To see my work documented in spaces that prioritize our cultural heritage—rather than just the aesthetic of the dance—is immensely validating. It reinforces the purpose of my journey: to ensure that Bharatanatyam remains a living, breathing discourse on our history and philosophy, not merely a museum piece.
