Bharatanatyam Arangetram Photography

Capturing a Bharatanatyam Arangetram is a unique challenge. You have limited time, fast-paced choreography, and complex stage lighting that can easily wash out colors or leave details in the dark. My process is designed to handle these constraints without being intrusive.

My Approach to Stage Photography

I don't rely on auto modes. For stage events, I use full-frame Sony gear with fast prime lenses. This combination allows me to shoot in low-light environments without using distracting flashes that might break the dancer's concentration. I focus on capturing the narrative, from the opening lamp lighting ceremony to the intense solo performances and the final group bow.

Technical Delivery

For Arangetrams and similar performances, I offer a specialized package that includes:

• Low-light optimization: Noise reduction and advanced editing to ensure high-quality prints even from dimly lit stages.
• Priority Processing: A turnaround time of 4 to 6 days so you have images ready for post-event announcements and social media.
• Commercial Rights: You receive high-resolution files suitable for portfolios or professional printing.

I have experience working at venues like Acharya Prahlad Keshav Atre Rangmandir in Kalyan, and I understand the rhythm of these events. Whether you are the organizer or the performer, I work to ensure the focus stays on the artistry and dedication behind the performance.
