A modern and symmetrical back-hand design. Each hand features a central lotus mandala with detailed finger work and a matching lotus cuff, creating a clean and balanced aesthetic.

This elegant back-hand design features delicate lotus stems that appear to grow up the hand. It's a beautiful, nature-inspired look that is both graceful and modern.

A stunning Arabic-style floral vine that sweeps across the back of the hand. The use of bold, filled-in lotus flowers creates a striking contrast, making this a standout design for any wedding party member.

A classic and symmetrical design featuring a large lotus mandala on each palm. The intricate line work and shading give the design depth, while the full-finger coverage adds a traditional touch.

This traditional design is filled with beautiful details, including peacocks and roses. The use of negative space around the white roses makes them a unique focal point of the artwork.

A gorgeous example of a full-coverage floral design after the henna paste has been removed. The rich, dark stain highlights the intricate details of the roses and vines climbing up the arm.

A beautiful blend of floral and traditional patterns. This full-hand design features delicate flowers mixed with classic peacock motifs and geometric grids, creating a rich and varied texture.

About this collection

To get that 'pop' effect in my 3D floral designs, I use a specific shading technique where I build depth with negative space around the petals. If you are planning these for a wedding, we usually schedule these pieces to be applied earlier in the day because the detailed layering takes a bit more time than standard flat patterns.

Floral mehndi is about more than just drawing flowers. Whether you choose the purity of a lotus or the drama of layered 3D roses, the goal is to make the design breathe on your skin.

My Approach to Floral Art

My floral work relies heavily on contrast. By balancing intricate gridwork with open space, the flowers stand out rather than blending into a busy, cluttered mess. I often get requests for what I call 'Dubai-style' roses, which use bold, sweeping lines and darker shading to create a dramatic look that photographs beautifully.

The Lotus Symbolism

The lotus motifs are a personal favorite. They feel traditional yet refreshing, and they work incredibly well for bridesmaids who want something elegant but not overly heavy. We can keep the tips open for a modern twist or go for full-coverage if you want the 'garden on your hands' effect.

Application and Stain

When you decide on a floral theme, think about the placement. 3D rose patterns look stunning on forearms or the back of the hand, while lotus mandalas are perfect for the center of the palm. I always use a mix of eucalyptus and clove oil in my natural paste, which helps pull that deep, dark stain. This is essential for making these intricate floral petals really pop once the color develops.

I’m Helly. I’ve spent the last 15 years in Mumbai turning hands into gardens, and floral designs are where I get to be most creative with shading and depth. If you want mehandi that looks like a piece of art rather than just a pattern, this is the style we should explore together.
