About Family Portraits: In Studio & Outdoors
My approach is simple: I do not force poses. Whether we are in the studio or a park, I spend the first part of our time playing games and getting to know your kids. This helps them relax, so by the time we start shooting, you get genuine laughter and real expressions instead of stiff, forced smiles.
Choosing Your Setting
Studio Sessions: These are perfect if you want control over the environment. My Mumbai studio is fully equipped with professional lighting and a variety of creative backdrops, from fairy tale themes to minimalist setups. It is a great choice if you prefer a controlled, clean look or if you are planning a milestone shoot for younger children where safety and comfort are key.
Outdoor Sessions: If your family is more active, an outdoor shoot is the way to go. We can head to a local park or garden in Mumbai where the kids have space to run, play, and interact with you naturally. The soft, natural light makes for a different, more laid-back aesthetic. These sessions are also perfect if you want to include your pets in the photos.
Preparing for Your Shoot
- Outfits: I always recommend coordinating colors rather than matching perfectly. Think complementary tones that look good against the background we choose. For outdoor sessions, wear comfortable shoes.
- Kids' Moods: Don't stress if your child is not in the mood on the day. I have plenty of experience with toddlers and newborns, and I know that sometimes the best photos happen when we just let them play.
- Timeline: For a standard family session, we will spend 1.5 to 3 hours together, depending on the package. This ensures we have enough time for outfit changes and breaks for snacks or diaper changes without feeling rushed.
Happy Lens Photography
I'm not just clicking buttons behind a camera. I’m the one singing songs, cracking jokes, and getting down on the floor to make sure your kids are comfortable. My sessions are less about 'say cheese' and more about capturing the chaos and love of your family as it really is.
