Hand-Embroidered Badges and Wearable Art
These aren't mass-produced patches. Every stitch on these badges is slow, deliberate, and a little piece of my heart—mehenat that you can actually feel on your jacket or bag.
This timelapse condenses hours of slow, methodical hand-embroidery into just a few seconds. You can see several floral badges coming to life at once on the hoop, each one requiring careful attention to detail.
I love this part of the process, where a piece really starts to come together. This video shows me adding the final beaded edge to a sunflower badge, which gives it structure and a little bit of sparkle.
About The Art of the Stitch
If you look really closely at these badges, you will see threads that aren't perfectly symmetrical or stitches that vary slightly. That is not a flaw—it is exactly how I work. Since every piece is embroidered by hand on cotton canvas, they carry the fingerprints of the process, making each one a tiny, imperfect original rather than a factory replica.
When I pick up the needle and hoop, it is usually to quiet my own overthinking mind. That calm, slow vibe is woven into every badge you see here. I start with high-quality cotton or canvas fabric and use reliable cotton floss like Anchor or DMC to build up the layers. Whether it is a tiny ladybug or a more complex narrative scene, the process is labor-intensive and intentionally unhurried.
For the finish, I do not just glue things together. I use hand-cut felt or faux-suede backings to secure the brooch pins, reinforcing the edges so they hold up on your denim jackets, tote bags, or backpacks.
I know you might be looking for something specific. If you have an inside joke, a pet portrait, or a memory you want turned into a wearable badge, I am always open to commissions. We start with a quick sketch, and once you approve the concept, I get to the stitching. It takes time—slow craft always does—but you end up with something that belongs only to you.
