The Art in the Details: Handcrafted Wearable Stories
Clothes that carry a conversation. Discover the hand-painted collars and art-infused pockets that turn everyday silhouettes into unique stories.
Now that's what we call a collar. This black linen dress features an oversized, hand-detailed collar with my bold, abstract artwork, turning a simple silhouette into a true statement piece.
An obsessive level of detail goes into each collar. This one, on a classic white shirt, features a vibrant, geometric art piece that is truly a conversation starter.
Insanely detailed. The collar on this white wrap top is a work of art in itself, with colorful, hand-embroidered patterns that make it one of a kind.
OG and one of a kind. The oversized lapels of this white trench coat are covered in my original, abstract artwork, making it a wearable masterpiece.
Pockets, but make them art. This video gives a close-up look at the colorful, hand-detailed pocket on my Kaleidoscope hemp shirt, turning a functional detail into a focal point.
Not prints. Not patterns. These are handcrafted abstract artworks transformed into fashion statements. This image shows the art-detailed pockets on my Transcendence Kimono-Wrap set.
A sneak peek into my process. This video shows how I create the artwork for pieces like the Greener Co-ord set, painting the design by hand before it's transformed into an accent on the final garment.
He(art)ful apparel is in the making. This video shows the journey from spools of thread to a finished garment being sewn by hand. It’s all done in small batches with big love.
A look at the different fabrics I use, from breathable hemp and airy pure linen to timeless handloom cotton. I choose materials that are as thoughtful as the designs they shape.
Hemp is nature's sunscreen. This image explains how hemp fabric is naturally UV-resistant with a 50+ UPF rating, making it an excellent choice for sun protection.
About The Art in the Details
These aren't mass-produced patterns. Every oversized collar, pocket canvas, and hand-stitched detail is painted by my hand before the garment is constructed. When you choose a piece here, you are not just picking a silhouette. You are selecting a specific, hand-rendered artwork designed to age and breathe with the fabric.
I started Artbeats with a simple premise: art should walk with you, not just hang on a wall. In this cluster, you will find the results of that philosophy. My process starts with a blank canvas and acrylics before a single stitch is made.
The Art vs. The Print Most fashion relies on digital printing for patterns. I avoid that. Each design is a direct application of paint to fabric, creating depth and texture that a printer simply cannot capture. This means when you look at a collar or a pocket panel, you are seeing a piece of original art.
Thoughtful Materials I pair these art pieces with fabrics that serve the body. I work with hemp for its UV-protective and durable nature, linen for its breathability, and handloom cotton for its texture. These choices ensure the clothing feels as good as it looks.
Why Small Batches Matter I operate in a slow fashion model. By avoiding mass production, I ensure that each collar, sleeve, or hem receives individual attention. It takes time, but it results in a garment that feels intentional. Whether it is a hand-embroidered detail on a trench coat or an asymmetrical art panel on a waistcoat, these elements are what make the item yours.
Artbeats by Keerthana
I'm Keerthana. I started Artbeats because I believe art belongs on the body, not just walls. My studio is where raw fabric meets abstract painting, and we do it all slowly, by hand, to ensure every piece has a pulse.
