Hand-Embroidered Badges for Hobby Lovers
Wearable art that celebrates your quirks. Whether you are a bookworm or a coffee enthusiast, these hand-stitched badges are little conversation starters meant just for you.
Here is another look at my 'Book Club' badges, resting on a stack of novels. I designed these hand-embroidered accessories to be little conversation starters for anyone who loves getting lost in a good story.
A close-up of the 'Book Club' embroidered pin, showing the detail in the stitching. I wanted to capture the simple joy of reading in this tiny piece of wearable art, perfect for any bookworm's collection.
A different angle on my 'Coffee Time' badges, showing the texture of the embroidery against a soft sweater. These handmade pins are a cozy and fun accessory for anyone fueled by caffeine and creativity.
This shot highlights the rectangular 'Coffee Time' badge. I enjoy making slight variations in my designs, so each hand-embroidered piece feels like a unique little illustration you can wear.
Whether you love the gym or just love the idea of it, I made these for you. This shot shows both the 'Gym Love' and 'Gym Class' designs, celebrating fitness buffs and couch potatoes with a sense of humor.
A closer look at the 'Gym Class' hand-embroidered badge. I find it funny to make art about things I don't always do, but I know so many people who are dedicated to their fitness journey. This is my little nod to them.
Here are both the 'Gym Love' and 'Gym Class' badges together. These handmade accessories are meant to be fun and non-judgmental, just a quirky way to express a part of your lifestyle.
About For the Love of Hobbies
I don't aim for machine perfection, so you will notice small quirks in the thread work. Each badge is stitched on a durable cotton canvas base with felt backing, making them sturdy enough for your daily bags or jackets while keeping that raw, handmade charm.
People often ask if these badges are meant to last, and the answer is yes. While I embrace the uneven stitches that come with human hands, I build these to be durable. I use a sturdy cotton canvas base designed to hold high-density thread work. Each badge is backed with hand-cut felt or faux-suede, covering the reverse stitches and keeping the pin mechanism secure.
When you pick a design like the Book Club series or my coffee-themed collection, you are getting an illustration rendered in thread. I use high-quality Anchor or DMC cotton floss for every piece. For the smaller icon badges, I use satin or backstitches to create minimalist motifs on the fabric. My larger, narrative brooches are fully filled, capturing detailed expressions and characters.
Since everything is made by hand, no two pieces are identical. That is the beauty of this craft. If you have a specific hobby or memory in mind, I offer custom commissions. We can discuss your idea, sketch it out, and then I begin the stitching process. Whether it is a pet portrait or a specific text style, these pieces are made to be a conversation starter. You can pin them onto denim jackets, tote bags, or even canvas sneakers to show the world what you love.
