About My Process: Hand-Poured with Love
Every single candle you receive is hand-poured by me in small batches, not mass-produced by a machine. This way, I can ensure the wick is perfectly centered and the fragrance oil is blended evenly throughout the 100% soy wax, which gives you a clean burn and a strong scent throw from the first light to the last.
When you order a candle from Gulmohar, you are getting something made in a home studio, not a factory.
My process starts with selecting high-quality 100% soy wax, which is cleaner and longer-lasting than paraffin alternatives. I heat the wax to the precise temperature required before stirring in my premium, non-toxic fragrance oils. Whether it is a batch of peachy summer-themed candles or a classic rose scent for a wedding, the blending process is where the real work happens.
I personally pour each batch into the containers. For my ombré candles, I take extra time to layer the colors carefully, waiting for one layer to set before pouring the next to keep the edges sharp and clean.
Once the candles are poured, they need to cure. This curing time is crucial so the wax and fragrance oils bind perfectly. After they are ready, I move to the labeling and packaging stage. This is my favorite part because I get to add the final touches—whether it is a photo label for a wedding favor or a jute tie for a festive gift. If your order is for an event, I pack them individually to make sure they travel safely to you anywhere in India. If you ever have a specific vision in mind for your gifts, just reach out. I love working with you to get the colors, labels, and scents exactly how you want them.
