Vertical Gardens and Custom Landscape Features
I design and install vertical gardens and custom structural elements to optimize urban spaces. My focus is on technical execution, durability, and functional design.
A lush vertical garden installed in an office reception area, bringing a vibrant wall of green indoors. This is an excellent way to improve air quality and add a natural design element to commercial spaces.
A beautifully arranged flower bed with bright yellow marigolds, adding a splash of color to a park or large garden. My planting designs focus on seasonal blooms and hardy perennials for continuous visual appeal.
A daytime view of a custom stone waterfall feature with a carved panel, set within a stone-clad wall. This type of water feature becomes a natural and calming focal point in any garden.
A carefully designed garden bed using red mulch, river pebbles, and a variety of colorful foliage plants like crotons and bromeliads. I use different textures and colors to create visual interest in small spaces.
A modern, minimalist water wall made from stacked black slate, creating a sleek and contemporary water feature. The gentle cascade of water adds a soothing sound and a dynamic visual element to the garden.
A garden path leading through a decorative green archway covered in flowering vines. I build these structures to create a sense of entry and add a romantic, classic touch to the landscape.
A wide-angle view of a garden pond and waterfall feature, surrounded by lush greenery and a wooden deck. This project shows my ability to create complex, multi-element garden ecosystems.
About Vertical Gardens & Custom Features
When installing a vertical garden or a living wall, the most critical component is the framework and irrigation system, not just the plant selection. I utilize a mild steel structure to ensure the system is mounted away from the wall, preventing moisture seepage and structural dampness. My setup includes integrated micro-drip irrigation lines threaded directly through the modules, ensuring consistent water distribution across the entire vertical surface without manual intervention.
Technical Specifications for Vertical Gardens
For residential and commercial vertical garden installations, I employ a modular approach designed for density and longevity. The system consists of high-density plastic vertical planter panels supported by a mild steel framework. I prioritize the use of lightweight coco-peat based media to minimize the structural weight on your walls. The plant density typically ranges from 4 to 6 plants per square foot, utilizing shade-resilient species such as Philodendrons, Ferns, and Syngoniums to ensure the system thrives in varying light conditions. System testing includes water pressure checks on all drip lines to identify and rectify dry spots before the installation is finalized.
Custom Garden Structures and Features
Beyond living walls, my custom feature work involves the design and construction of permanent garden installations. This includes the building of water features such as fountains and waterfalls, where I manage the integration of pumps and necessary waterproofing to protect the surrounding masonry. Pergolas and arches are constructed to create functional entryways or shaded seating zones, tailored to the specific dimensions of your landscape.
Site Assessment and Execution
My process for any custom feature begins with a site survey to determine structural feasibility and drainage requirements. I do not provide pre-packaged solutions without understanding the specific environment of your property. For every installation, I personally oversee the positioning of materials, ensuring that hardscaping elements like stone or concrete are level and properly anchored. My objective is to deliver a finished installation that adheres to the planned 3D design and offers sustainable performance without recurring maintenance issues.
