Painting is not just about the final colour. The secret to a finish that lasts is in the preparation. Whether we are applying a PU polish on a wardrobe or a Duco finish on a main door, we spend as much time on masking, sanding, and filling as we do on the paint itself. If the base is not smooth, the top coat will fail. We clean and sand every surface until it is perfect before the first drop of paint is even opened.
Our Process: Why It Matters
We do not believe in shortcuts. When you hire us, you are paying for the effort that happens before the finish is applied.
- Surface Preparation: This is our most critical step. We perform mechanical scraping to remove old coatings and apply high-quality fillers to hide cracks. We do not skip the sanding process; we use a 3-step sanding method (120, 220, and 320 grit) to ensure the surface is uniform.
- Material Selection: We stick to brands we trust because your furniture needs to last. We use Asian Paints Woodtech for PU, MRF Vapocure for Melamine, and Esdee or ICA for Duco projects. We show you the tins we are using before we start.
- The Finishing Touch: We use pneumatic spray compressors for flat surfaces to avoid brush marks. For intricate carvings, we rely on careful hand-polishing. Every project goes through a multi-layer system of sealer and topcoats to ensure scratch and moisture resistance.
