Real architecture starts on paper, long before the first brick is laid. I believe in sketching every detail by hand to capture the soul of a space before it becomes reality.

A detail sketch done by hand, showing the junction between a wire-cut brick wall and toughened glass. This is where architecture happens, in the careful consideration of how materials meet and how the building is put together.

A hand-colored architectural render of a contemporary villa. This technique helps visualize not just the building's form, but also the texture of the landscape, the play of shadows, and the overall mood of the future home.

Detailed architectural elevations for a courtyard house. These technical drawings are crucial for communicating the design's intent, showing features like bay windows, skylights, and a climbing wall that are all designed to enhance the home's connection to light and nature.

A series of 3D and 2D drawings for a home designed around a central courtyard. This layout ensures that every room is filled with daylight and has a connection to the private green space at the heart of the house.

More views of the courtyard house design, showing different angles and elevations. This comprehensive modeling allows us to perfect the flow of space and light before construction even begins, ensuring the final result is exactly as envisioned.

A presentation sheet combining a floor plan with a 3D render for a proposed stone farmhouse. This format helps clients clearly understand the layout of the rooms and how the finished home will look, complete with its beautiful stone facade.

About The Architect's Sketchbook: Plans & Process

Before we build, I obsess over how materials meet. You will see that in my hand-drawn junctions, where I map out everything from wire-cut brick alignments to glass interfaces. This level of detail is not just about aesthetics; it ensures your home actually breathes, with natural light and cross-ventilation integrated into the structure from the very first line on the page.
