About Traditional South Indian Bridal Looks
For your Muhurtham, it is not just about the makeup. I use a 'thread-locking' technique for saree draping that protects expensive Kanjeevaram silks from pin tears, and my HD waterproof base is specifically tested to withstand the heat of the Homam ceremony. You need a look that stays put while you perform rituals, not one that slides off when you sweat or move.
When you sit in my chair, we focus on the foundation first. For a traditional Muhurtham, I use HD, waterproof products that handle the heat of the fire rituals without transferring.
Many brides worry about their Kanjeevaram sarees during the ceremony. I use thread-locking techniques—sewing clips onto the fabric—instead of using standard safety pins, which keeps your expensive silk safe from tears. It is all kai kelasa (handiwork).
I do not just fix your saree. I set your temple jewellery, ensure your poola jada (fresh flower braid) is secure, and match your makeup tones specifically to the colors of your silk saree. If you are preparing for a long wedding ceremony, you need a process that respects the traditions while keeping your skin comfortable. We will discuss your outfit colours and jewellery at the start of your booking to ensure the final look is cohesive.
Preparation is everything. Ollethagali (let good things happen).
