Bride Yashwini and her groom Bhargav. I always aim for a bridal look that feels authentic and allows the bride's happiness to shine through, creating a beautiful memory for the couple.
About South Indian Muhurtham Looks
For South Indian weddings, I focus on a sweat-resistant HD matte base using products like PAC and Forever52. This is essential for Muhurtham ceremonies where you face the heat of the Homam and long photo sessions. I also ensure your silk saree is pleated and pinned using 20 pins so it stays perfectly in place throughout the event.
My Approach to Muhurtham Makeup
My goal is to create a look that feels authentic. I don't believe in masking your features. Instead, I focus on enhancing them with a finish that lasts until the final ritual is complete.
The Technical Details
- Base Application: I use an HD matte foundation that is both sweat-proof and waterproof. This prevents the makeup from melting or creasing due to temple heat or long hours under stage lights.
- Prep: Every session begins with a CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routine and hydration masks to ensure your skin is prepped for long-wear products.
- Eye & Contour: I use jet black gel liners and cream contouring, which are designed to show up clearly in flash photography without looking heavy.
Traditional Hairstyling & Draping
- Floral Work: I specialize in securing heavy floral arrangements, including traditional semicircular Veni or a long Jada (plait), using U-pins and nets. These stay secure regardless of movement.
- Saree Draping: Kanjeevaram and silk sarees require specific handling. I use pre-pleating and box-fold ironing techniques to ensure the saree falls gracefully. Whether it is a standard drape or a complex Madisar style, I use 20 pins to ensure stability so you can move, sit, and walk without worrying about the fabric.
Travel & Booking
I travel to venues across Bangalore, Tumkur, and Mysore. If you have a specific Muhurtham timing, please let me know when you inquire so I can coordinate the start time accordingly.
