About this collection
Before I style, I always prep the hair with specific crimping and blow-drying techniques to create a base that holds. Whether you have thin hair or need to support heavy temple jewelry, this base is what stops your bun from going flat midway through the event.
The secret to an updo that stays perfectly in place for 8 hours is not the pins—it is the prep. Gottagthidya (Are you getting it)? If the base is weak, the style will fall.
My approach is hands-on. I use root crimping and specific back-combing methods to create volume, especially for thin hair. If you are worried about your bun sagging under the weight of temple jewelry or fresh flowers, I do not just rely on hairspray. I use a needle-and-thread technique to stitch the accessories directly into the braid structure. This keeps your look seamless, secure, and comfortable.
Why Procedure Matters
I offer over 25 different styles, but the method changes based on your needs:
- Traditional Floral Buns: I use fresh Mallige (jasmine) and stitch it into the bun for a look that lasts through the entire ceremony without shifting.
- Reception Styles: Whether you want mermaid braids, soft waves, or messy buns, I start with heat protection and end with a flexible-hold setting spray. The goal is movement without the frizz.
- Volume Fixes: If you have fine hair, I incorporate seamless extensions (Savaram) that blend completely with your natural hair texture. No one will know it is not your own hair.
I treat your hair with the same care as my students. We start with a consultation to check your hair type and the length of your function. Then, we pick the prep method that guarantees your hairstyle looks as good at the end of the day as it did when you first walked out of the salon. Ollethagali.
