The Design Process
I believe clothing should feel like an extension of who you are. My studio in JP Nagar serves as a space where we combine South Indian heritage with contemporary fashion. Whether you are coming in with a specific idea or just a mood board, I focus on the technical side of tailoring to deliver that vision. This includes power shoulders for structure, precise corset boning to define the waist, and complex draping for skirts.
Specialty Work
- Hand Embroidery: My work centers on traditional zardozi, bugle beads, and crystal appliqué. I view embroidery as architecture; it requires precise placement to catch the light and add depth without weighing down the garment.
- Upcycling: Bringing new life to old fabrics is one of my favorite services. If you have a mother’s saree that holds memories, I work to deconstruct and rebuild it into a modern gown or lehenga that you will actually wear to modern celebrations.
- Fusion Silhouettes: I enjoy mixing styles. Think butterfly crop tops with draped skirts or fish-cut designs that blend traditional motifs with Western structural elements.
