On The Go: Travelling Indian Art Shows
We take art beyond the white walls of a gallery, bringing pieces from our collection to hotels and cultural spaces across India. It is our way of making stories and brushstrokes accessible, starting conversations where they live and breathe.
Our 'On The Go' initiative was born from the belief that art belongs everywhere. This video shares the inspiration behind our travelling showcase and why we chose Kochi, a city that understands beauty and history, for our first edition.
The voices of Kochi shaped our first 'On The Go' event in ways we couldn't have imagined. This video captures attendees sharing what moved them and why this travelling exhibit felt so personal.
From curated corners to lingering conversations, our 'On The Go' showcase in Kochi was an unforgettable experience. We were honored to host historian Manu S. Pillai and artist-curator Riyas Komu, whose sessions sparked deep curiosity and dialogue.
As our first chapter in Kochi closes, our hearts are full. The city welcomed us with warmth and reminded us why this journey matters. Next stop: Hyderabad. A new city, a new audience, and the same belief that art belongs everywhere.
For our second chapter of 'On The Go,' Hyderabad was a natural choice. A city that balances a regal past with a rising future, it is the perfect place to share a wonderful collection and spark new conversations. We invite you to join us.
Hello Hyderabad! We are here at the Taj Krishna, offering you the best modernists and masters that we at Gallery G have showcased over the past two decades. Come by and have a look; we are here to welcome you.
What a city, what a turnout. Hyderabad, thank you for showing up with such heart. Your enthusiasm reminded us why we started this journey: to take art beyond gallery walls and spark meaningful conversations.
About this collection
When we land in a city like Kochi or Hyderabad, we do not just display paintings. We transform hotel venues into intimate viewing spaces where you can look at works by masters and emerging voices without the formality of a traditional gallery atmosphere.
Our travelling showcases, '#OnTheGo', represent a shift in how we engage with art. We move beyond fixed locations to meet viewers in their own cities, ensuring that cultural history and contemporary expression remain dynamic rather than static. Each stop involves a thoughtful assembly of works, ranging from modernist canvases to experimental media.
Each pop-up includes more than just viewing. We host sessions with historians, artist talks, and guided walkthroughs. It is about fostering an environment where a first-time visitor feels just as comfortable as a long-time collector.
We have already connected with audiences in Kochi at the Taj Malabar and Hyderabad at the Taj Krishna. As we look ahead to 2026, we are planning visits to Chandigarh, Indore, and Raipur. Every stop is a commitment to keeping Indian art fluid, alive, and part of your daily landscape.
Gallery G
At Gallery G, we believe art is meant to be shared, not stored in silence. We are the ones who pack up the frames, travel to your city, and set up these temporary sanctuaries because we think the conversation should not stop at our Lavelle Road doors.
