How We Curate and Exhibit Art

I see our gallery as more than just a place to hang paintings - it's a space where stories, memories, and cultures come together. Every artwork that comes in here is treated as a part of someone's heritage. I look for pieces that speak out, even if it's quietly, and I try to let them tell their own story. My approach isn’t about sticking to old rules. I listen, I question, and I let the artwork guide my decisions.

Our Bengaluru Space

Our gallery has hosted some pretty unique contemporary Indian art exhibitions. From solo retrospectives, like the one with Prabhakar Kolte, to big group shows that celebrate southern art legacies, I try to blend the old and the new whenever I can. Sometimes, we cross borders - like that Indo-Mexican show with Maya cosmology. I even experiment with tech, using Augmented Reality art experiences to bring legendary artists to life in fresh ways. Sustainability matters to me, so I reuse and repurpose wherever possible.

Art Beyond the Gallery

With our '#OnTheGo' traveling art showcases, I take art outside Bengaluru to places like Kochi and Hyderabad. These pop-ups happen in hotels, not just galleries, and always include talks with historians and artists.

Art for Every Space

I curate public art installations in places like the Bengaluru Airport and work with hotels and offices to pick art that fits their vibe. Sometimes it’s just a few pieces by modern artists, sometimes a whole new collection.

Building a Community

I want art to feel welcoming, not intimidating. That's why I offer curator’s walks, opening nights, and guided visits for students. Whether you’re a collector or just curious, there’s always room for you here.
