About Art Exhibitions & Cultural Events
We’re all about celebrating the stories and talent of contemporary Indian artists. For 20 years and counting, we’ve been a space where art gets to do what it does best - spark conversations, make you think, and sometimes just let you enjoy the colours and forms.
What You’ll Find at Our Events
- Solo shows that dive deep into one artist’s journey, like C.F. John’s soulful reflections or Somenath Maity’s city-inspired works.
- Thematic group exhibits (think “Beyond Boundaries” and “Human Landscapes”) that bring together a bunch of voices, each with something different to say.
- Our annual exhibition is a big deal for anyone tracking the Bangalore contemporary art scene.
Supporting New Voices
Spotlighting emerging Indian artists is close to our heart. Every year, the HK Kejriwal Young Artist Award helps fresh talent across painting, sculpture, digital art, and photography get noticed. If you love discovering new artists, this one’s for you.
More Than Just Looking
It’s not just about staring at a wall. We mix things up with music gigs, poetry, and artist meet-and-greet events. Sometimes, the art, music, and conversation all blend together - it’s a vibe.
What’s on Display
Expect everything from bronze sculptures and mixed media installations to digital art exhibitions. The themes swing from spiritual and meditative to urban, rural, and straight-up abstract.
Pop in, browse online, or get talking with the artists. There’s something for everyone, no matter how you like your art.

My Story
We started Mahua Art Gallery in Bangalore about 20 years back. Not just for selling art, but to give a real home to contemporary Indian artists. You’ll find everything here - city chaos, rural calm, spiritual journeys - all captured by artists who live and breathe their work. Our HK Kejriwal Young Artist Award is us rooting for new voices. Feels good to see them grow. Mahua’s not just walls with frames, it’s a adda (hangout) for anyone who loves art.
