We started as collectors before we became advisors, so I know what it feels like when art truly means something to you. My approach goes beyond just buying and selling - it’s about finding pieces that add real depth to your story, not just your walls.
What I Offer
- If you’re new, I’ll help you build your private art collection step by step. For experienced collectors, I give honest opinions on rare finds or how to shape a legacy.
- I offer Indian art market expertise - from the Progressive Artists' Group to contemporary names, heritage artifact curation, and how to bring old-world crafts like Mehrab Jali doors into modern spaces.
- Sometimes you just want that one special piece to finish a room or make a space feel right. I help with that too, matching art to your style or architecture.
- For those who prefer privacy, my team handles discreet private sales for masterworks and heritage items.

My Story
We started out just collecting, not thinking much about where it’d go. I’m Maher Dadha, and Bid & Hammer grew from that hobby. You know, sometimes it’s the story behind a thing that matters most. Like Mrs. Meena Appachu, who hunted porcelain all over, her collection telling her life’s journey. That’s what we love - honouring those stories, letting new folks find joy in old treasures.
My Work
Multi-category auctions - We auction Modern & Contemporary Indian Art, Indian miniature paintings, antique silver jewellery, and all sorts of collectibles.
Online and accessible - Most auctions are online, so anyone can join in. We run no-reserve art auctions and low-reserve sales too.
Expert curation - Our team researches each piece, whether it’s a big-name artist or a rare estate art collection. We dig deep for the stories.
Celebrating culture - It’s not just about selling - we do talks, panels, and exhibitions, tying art to India’s festivals and heritage.
Private sales - For those after something special, we handle private, discreet sales of high-value works.
