60-Minute Discovery Session

Session Breakdown

Total Duration: 60 minutes (Weekend slots).
Briefing: 10 minutes covering safety protocols, range etiquette, and whistle commands.
Warm-up: Specific shoulder and rotator cuff exercises to ensure physical readiness.

Gear Provided

Bow: Wooden Riser Recurve Bow with draw weight adjusted to 18-24 lbs for beginners.
Arrows: 3 to 6 Aluminum or Carbon-composite arrows per round.
Protection: Forearm guards to prevent string slap and finger tabs for release protection.

Shooting Activity

Technique: Instructor-led correction on T-Draw stance, arrow nocking, and anchoring.
Volume: Approximately 3 to 4 'Ends' (rounds) of shooting.
Target: Standard 80cm or 122cm faces pinned at a reduced distance of 5m to 10m.

Monthly Weekend Academy (8 Sessions)

Schedule & Access

Frequency: 8 sessions per month (Every Saturday & Sunday).
Duration: 90 minutes per session.
Slots: Fixed Morning (6:30 AM) or Evening batch options to ensure training consistency.

Technical Curriculum

Drills: Includes Blind Bale shooting (eyes closed form checks) and elastic band simulations.
Mechanics: Step-by-step breakdown of Stance, Nocking, Draw, Anchor, Hold, Release, and Follow-through.
Scoring: Education on standard 10-zone scoring logic (X, 10, 9... M).

Equipment & Venue

Gear Usage: Full access to academy Recurve/Indian Round bows included (No personal purchase required for the first 1-2 months).
Environment: Outdoor training at Active Arena to learn management of sun glare and wind factors.
Targets: Regular usage of fresh paper target faces.

Extras

Conditioning: Calisthenics focused on rhomboids, traps, and core stability.
Fun Shoots: Periodic themed activities like balloon popping to apply skills dynamically.

Who Can Join

Never touched a bow before? Doesn’t matter. We welcome kids, teens, adults, and whole families - anyone curious to start archery just for fun or as a hobby. Our Future Archer’s Family is built for absolute beginners and those looking for a chill, supportive group.

What You’ll Learn

Our archery classes for beginners cover the basics, but we don’t rush. We’ll get you sorted with:

Proper stance and posture (no fancy footwork - just what works)
How to hold the bow and arrow without feeling awkward
Simple aiming tips (think: deep breath, steady hands, nalla aim maadbeku - you gotta aim well)
Releasing the arrow cleanly

I’m there on the ground, helping you out, fixing little mistakes, and cheering you on. It’s hands-on, not just theory.

Practice Vibes

We keep things light. Expect games, balloon targets, goofy competitions, and a bit of friendly trash talk. We run our own chill 'Inter Academy' contests - not scary, mostly for the laughs and, okay, sometimes for medals too.

All sessions happen at Active Arena, Bangalore. Only on weekends:

Saturday & Sunday: 6:30-8:00 AM, 3:00-4:30 PM, 4:30-6:00 PM

No gear? No problem. You get all the equipment here, including recurve bows and safety stuff. Come as you are and let’s see if you can hit the mark.
