Timeless Newborn Portraits: Capturing Tiny Miracles
Babies grow so fast, and those first few days of natkhat (naughty) smiles and tiny yawns slip by in a blink. I focus on freezing these fleeting, precious moments, creating simple, gentle portraits that you will cherish long after your little one starts walking. ✨
A perfect, happy smile on a sleeping baby. Swaddled in pink and surrounded by flowers in a heart-shaped bowl, this is the definition of a sweet and timeless newborn portrait.
A baby peacefully sleeping, wrapped in a pure white swaddle and bonnet. The simple yellow flowers add a delicate touch of color to this serene and classic "potato sack" pose.
A big yawn from this sleepy little one. I love capturing these natural, unposed moments that show so much personality, even in the first few days of life.
Another adorable yawn, this time with a little cap and a stuffed bunny. These small additions to the setup add a touch of whimsy to the portrait.
This little one is awake and looking around with such curiosity. The vibrant orange wrap contrasts beautifully with the green floral wreath, creating a striking portrait.
A close-up of a baby sleeping in a heart-shaped bowl. The rich red color of the wrap and roses creates a feeling of warmth and love.
A slightly wider angle of the red rose heart setup, showing the baby's full swaddle and peaceful expression.
The "Rose Cherry" setup, featuring a baby swaddled in red, nestled in a heart bowl. The vibrant colors make this a very popular and eye-catching choice.
A beautiful portrait of an awake baby in a wicker basket, surrounded by soft fabrics and white tulips. The pastel color palette is soft and dreamy.

About Timeless Newborn Portraits
My newborn sessions are slow and patient, typically lasting 3 to 4 hours to accommodate your baby's feeding and nap needs. Because safety is non-negotiable, I use sanitized, soft wraps and gentle studio lighting that keeps your little one calm and cozy. If I am coming to your home for the shoot, I bring all the gear needed for a studio-quality setup right in your nursery, so you do not have to stress about traveling with a newborn.
Why these early days matter
Capturing a newborn is about holding onto a memory. Those tiny eyelashes, the way they curl their little fingers, and those sleepy yawns are details that fade from memory as they grow. My classic sessions are designed to preserve exactly this stage, using soft, natural textures that keep the focus entirely on your baby’s innocence.
Safety is non-negotiable
I am a certified newborn photographer, which means I understand the anatomy and needs of a baby better than anyone. I never rush a pose. If your baby is fussy or hungry, we pause. The session happens at their pace, not mine. I use soft, hypoallergenic fabrics and wraps that are gentle on their sensitive skin, and all props are thoroughly cleaned before every shoot.
My Setup and Style
Whether you come to my Malad West studio or book a home visit across Mumbai, I focus on clean, timeless aesthetics.
- Classic Poses: Think cocoon swings, cozy basket nests, and gentle swaddles.
- Natural Lighting: I prefer soft, studio-quality lighting that mimics daylight, highlighting their features without harsh glares.
- Custom Themes: While this cluster highlights my classic, timeless style, I also keep props on hand if you want to mix in a little festive magic, like a 'Nand Ghar Anand Bhayo' Krishna theme or a subtle floral setup.
Planning your session
I recommend booking your shoot while you are still in your third trimester to ensure a slot. Most newborn portraits work best when the baby is between 5 and 14 days old, as they are still comfortable being swaddled and sleep through the process. Once you book, we will have a quick call to discuss the setup, colors, and any specific family portraits you want to include.
