Solo Stage Performances Exploring Raw Human Truth
My stage is where I unravel the illusions of our daily lives. Through movement, poetry, and live music, I share solo performances born from deep personal inquiry.
A promotional video for my solo show "All About Nothing" at the prestigious Ranga Shankara theatre. The performance is an intimate conversation about life, love, and illusion, supported by live music.
The official poster for a showing of "All About Nothing." The image captures the feeling of surrendering to the unknown, a central theme in this deeply personal solo piece.
A moment of spinning and release during a performance of "All About Nothing." Movement like this is how I process complex emotions on stage, allowing the body to speak when words are not enough.
The poster for my solo performance "All About Nothing" and an introductory Butoh workshop. Both events are designed to explore the self, one through performance and the other through guided movement.
Excerpts from a performance of "All About Nothing." This video shows different stages of the character's journey, from questioning her reality to finding a form of peace in the emptiness.
This video combines performance clips and promotional material for "All About Nothing." It gives a sense of the show's philosophical depth and my use of physical expression to explore its themes.
A dynamic shot from my solo piece "DANDYLION," performed in Tokyo as part of the Asia meets Asia Spring Camp. The theme was climate change, and my movement explores the strength and fragility of life.
Captured during the "DANDYLION" performance, this image shows the use of my whole body, including my hair, to express the wild, untamed energy of nature.
Another angle from "DANDYLION," showcasing a moment of intense physical expression. This solo work is a conversation with the earth, a plea for connection and understanding.
This photo from "DANDYLION" captures a moment of abandon and flight. It represents the struggle and beauty of life persisting against all odds, a core message of the performance.
About Solo Stage Performances
Every performance is custom-fitted to your venue. I only require a 15x15 ft area, basic lighting, and a sound system to bring solo pieces like ‘All About Nothing’ to your audience. My performance fee includes everything from prop logistics to the presence of a live musician.
Art is my revolution. My solo stage work is not just entertainment, but a dialogue with the self. I pull from my training in Kathak, the raw energy of Butoh, and my experiences performing across Bangalore and Tokyo to craft performances that question human constructs.
Pieces like ‘All About Nothing’ explore our attachments to possessions and relationships, stripping away the noise to find clarity. ‘DANDYLION’ looks at resilience, drawing on my research into the strength of nature. Each show is an organic evolution of my personal journal.
When you book a solo show, you are not just hiring an actor. You are inviting a conversation. I work closely with live musicians, often electric guitarists, to ensure the soundscapes match the mood of the movement.
Whether you are hosting a private gathering, a cultural event, or a community space, I adapt my performance to the environment. I believe that a piece of work comes out naturally from a human, just like one human comes out of another. My art requires no grand sets, just the space to breathe and share. If you are looking for a performance that moves people to think and feel, let us talk about your venue and the message you want to bring to your audience.
