About Additional Work & Lifestyle

Training does not have to be restricted to the four walls of a commercial gym. When I incorporate kickboxing or outdoor movement, it is not for show, it is to challenge my coordination, agility, and cardiovascular conditioning. Your body gets bored with the same routine, and these additions help you break through plateaus that standard heavy lifting cannot touch.

Most people treat the gym like a factory, doing the exact same movements on the same machines for years. If you want to become a complete athlete, you need to step out of that comfort zone.

Why Add Variety

Standard hypertrophy routines (the 4-6 day splits I prescribe) are excellent for building muscle, but they can be mentally draining. Adding dynamic activities like kickboxing improves your reaction time and explosive power. It teaches you to control your body weight, which is a skill many heavy lifters lack.

Real-World Fitness

Being fit should mean you can move well, not just lift heavy objects. Outdoor training and functional drills help in understanding how your body handles uneven terrain and unpredictable movement. This translates into better joint health and longevity. My goal is to build a body that is strong, resilient, and useful, not just one that looks good for a photo.

The 'No-Nonsense' Approach

Do not mistake this for 'fun' training. Every movement I do, including the kickboxing sessions shown here, has a purpose. If you are training with me, do not expect 'zumba' style gimmicks.
