About this collection
If the idea of posing in front of a camera makes you or your partner feel slightly awkward, you are not alone. My approach is entirely about removing that pressure. Instead of telling you exactly where to put your hands, I create a relaxed environment where you are simply interacting, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. This is why the images look so natural; they are capturing the real you, not a staged version.
When we plan your couple maternity session, the primary goal is comfort. Whether you prefer the controlled, quiet environment of my Mumbai studio or the soft, natural light of an outdoor garden or beach, the focus stays on your interaction.
The Process
Many couples worry that they need to know how to 'model' for the camera, but my sessions are about guidance, not rigid instruction. I give you cues to move, embrace, or whisper to each other, allowing me to capture the genuine emotions that happen in between.
Why the Timing Matters
I highly recommend scheduling your shoot between 28 and 34 weeks. This is usually the 'sweet spot' where your bump is prominent and well-defined, but you are still comfortable enough to move around easily for different shots.
Styling and Location
For studio sessions, we can keep it minimalist with solid backdrops and neutral outfits, or we can use artistic lighting and draping for a more dramatic look. If you choose an outdoor location, such as a beach in Mumbai, we lean into the golden hour light to highlight your glow. You do not need an elaborate wardrobe; jeans, a simple shirt, or a comfortable bodycon dress often result in the most timeless, classic portraits that highlight the connection between you and your partner.
