How I Approach Family Portraits
For me, it's all about capturing what your family feels like, not just what you look like. I want to get those laughs, the little glances, the chaos and the calm - basically, the real stuff that makes your story yours. The aim is classic, but with warmth and a bit of imperfection that keeps it real.
Making You Comfortable
I get that being in front of a camera can feel weird. So, I keep things chill. We won't do forced smiles or stiff poses. Instead, we'll hang out, maybe crack a few jokes, and let the kids be themselves. Most people tell me it feels more like a family hangout than a shoot. That's when the best, most natural family moments photography happens.
Where We Shoot
- Outdoor lifestyle family shoot: Parks, gardens, or beaches if you love open spaces and candid kids running wild.
- Studio: If you want a more controlled vibe, we can do classic or even minimalist studio family portraits. I have setups from timeless, simple backdrops to a boho look with earthy tones and soft textures.
- Themed minis: Sometimes I do special setups, like Christmas postcard sessions.
Details That Matter
Outfits really shape the look - neutrals or coordinated styles work best for that polished feel. I've got props too, but nothing too gimmicky - just stuff that adds a bit of personality.
