Tennis Fitness and Conditioning Training
A great tennis player is a great athlete. Our program integrates gym-based strength work and court-specific agility training into every session to build the power and stamina your game demands.
It's time to get fit. Our training philosophy combines on court skill with off court strength and conditioning. This video shows our players building power and endurance in the gym.
An aerial view of our courts and a glimpse of our group fitness drills. We believe success comes before work only in the dictionary, which is why physical conditioning is a core part of our curriculum.
What do I want to be proud of tomorrow? This video shows a player balancing gym work with on court practice, highlighting our holistic approach to developing complete athletes.
About Fitness & Conditioning
We don't just ask you to run laps. Our fitness sessions focus on tennis-specific movements like lateral agility ladders and explosive sprint drills to sharpen your footwork. Because we cap our batches at 1:5, our coaches actually watch your form during these exercises, ensuring you build the right muscles without risking injury on the court.
Tennis is a sport of quick starts, sudden stops, and rapid direction changes. You can have the best forehand in the city, but if your conditioning fails you in the third set, your game suffers. That is why our training ecosystem is built on a simple premise: your physical strength dictates your mental composure on the court.
The Tennis-First Approach
We treat the gym as an extension of the clay court. Our curriculum is split into three core areas:
- Agility & Footwork: We use agility ladders and cone drills to train your nervous system for those split-second decisions. It is about training your feet to move before your brain even registers the ball.
- Strength & Endurance: Using our on-site gym facilities, we focus on strength training that supports tennis-specific muscles. This helps in maintaining power in your serve and groundstrokes, even when the match enters the tie-break.
- Injury Prevention: Playing on clay is easier on the joints than hard courts, but it still requires specific conditioning. We work on core stability and lateral strength to ensure you can play consistently without frequent downtime.
Why Our System Works
We know that adult players often have limited time. Our 90-minute sessions are structured to maximize this. You are not spending 20 minutes aimlessly jogging. You are doing 15-20 minutes of high-intensity agility work followed by 70 minutes of point-based tennis drills. This ensures your heart rate stays in the target zone for endurance while you are actively practicing your shots.
Whether you are training for a local tournament or just want to feel sharper during weekend rallies, this blend of off-court conditioning and on-court play ensures you become a complete athlete. No shortcuts, just consistent, systematic training.
