Why Material Selection Matters

For a home in Bengaluru, we almost exclusively use BWP (Boiling Water Proof) Marine Grade Plywood. It handles moisture, steam, and the occasional spill without swelling or warping. We don't believe in using generic hinges; we rely on trusted hardware like Hettich or Hafele for all soft-close drawers and lift-up systems. If a drawer slams shut, it is not luxurious—it is just noisy.

The Quartz vs. Granite Debate

Clients often ask us which is better for Indian cooking. Granite, specifically Black Galaxy, is a workhorse that is incredibly easy to maintain and handle. Quartz is beautiful and modern, but it requires a bit more care with hot pans. We test all our countertop materials, including subjecting them to turmeric and pickle stains, so you know exactly what to expect before we install it.

Avoiding the Trends

We don't do 'matchy-matchy' kitchens where every surface is the same shade of beige. We prefer to mix textures—perhaps wood-finish uppers with solid matte lowers—to give the space depth.
