Imagine an open lawn transformed into an emerald sanctuary. This design story celebrates how we replaced floral excess with living greenery and innovative wire-mesh structures to create a grand, eco-conscious wedding experience in Mumbai.

A truly magical moment as the couple shares a kiss on a reflective aisle, surrounded by lush greenery and celebratory sparklers. The grand floral chandelier above them adds a touch of breathtaking drama.

The ceremony space was defined by these ethereal, chapel-like arches constructed from white wire mesh. This innovative structure created a sense of grandeur and openness, allowing the sky to be part of the decor.

The aisle, lined with abundant white flowers and greenery, leads to a magnificent stage. The reflection of the massive baby's breath chandelier on the mirrored walkway creates a stunning, dreamlike effect.

The wedding stage, or mandap, set against a backdrop of lush, living green walls and framed by ethereal white arches. The design feels both grand and intimately connected to nature.

Inside the wire-mesh chapel, magnificent crystal chandeliers hang above a floor of hand-painted tiles and are surrounded by potted palms and white floral arrangements, blending classic luxury with a botanical garden feel.

About The Botanical Garden: Sustainable Grandeur

One detail you won't spot instantly is the structural ingenuity. Instead of traditional floral backdrops that fade after a day, we utilized custom wire-mesh arches to build height and grandeur. These structures allowed us to frame the sky and greenery, ensuring the decor remained alive and structural rather than just a fleeting wall of cut flowers.

To build the wild forest theme for the Arpita Mehta and Kunal Rawal bash, we layered dozens of potted plants against an exposed brick wall. We mixed different heights and textures, using large Bird's Nest Ferns, wispy foliage, and touches of purple statice flowers to create a dense, natural look.6
This wide view shows the enchanting atmosphere we created for the Arpita Mehta and Kunal Rawal event. We framed the space with an arch of greenery and purple flowers, using potted trees and warm string lights to transform the industrial brick venue into a magical, forest-like setting.
Even the seating areas were integrated into the green decor. Here, we placed tall, large-leafed plants behind traditional wooden furniture, using emerald green cushions to tie the whole look together. This approach ensures every corner of the event feels lush and thoughtfully designed.
A closer look at the rich textures we used to create our "wild forest" vibe. We layered a variety of ferns, palms, and leafy plants in rustic terracotta and earthenware pots, adding candles to create a warm, inviting, and densely green corner for guests to discover.

This boho-chic reception entrance sets a magical tone for the evening. We used dried pampas grass, preserved palm leaves, and reusable macrame hangings to create a warm, inviting, and completely sustainable welcome for the guests.7
Who says a Haldi has to be all yellow? We designed this vibrant pastel Haldi ceremony with shades of pink, using reusable props like the flamingo figures and a plush velvet sofa to create a fun, modern, and picture perfect setting.
